Four railway stations of the state coming under NWR have been included in the Integrated Security Plan started by ministry of railways.

The stations identified for the project are- Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur, under which the integrated security system (ISS) will be implemented. This includes close circuit television surveillance system, access control, personal and baggage screening system and bomb detection system.

Under the scheme it is proposed to deploy trained manpower on hiring basis under overall supervision of railway protection force for round the clock monitoring of CCTV feeds through control rooms to render security related assistance to passengers on real time basis.

Meanwhile, in Jaipur many such security measures are now in force. In fact a few days back at the second most busy station in Jaipur- Gandhi Nagar Station,  10 CCTV cameras have been installed at platform number 1 at various spots including the entry gate, reservation window, foot over bridge, on both the sides of the platform among other areas.

Also the baggage scanner machine has arrived at the railway station. The machine has been kept at the gate towards Bajaj Nagar. About 50 trains pass through the railway station while 25 trains including the Palace On Wheels (POW) have a stoppage here.
