This is time for a major TRUNK CALL. It’s ballot time and whatever be the colour, caste or creed... divine blessings are the most sought after thing as the state readies for a KURUKSHETRA by the end of this year. 2018 begins with the implementation of the model code of conduct in three districts and will witness bypolls on two parliamentary and one assembly constituency in January itself. The BJP has a task ahead to keep its traditional ‘saffron’ vote bank intact and counter any anti-incumbency within party ranks.

In this crucial year,  BJP’s state leadership will also like to keep close to its traditional lines  more so when the Opposition Congress has earned some amount of respect in the Gujarat assembly elections. When we speak of Gujarat polls, the recent visits of political stalwarts to Somnath Temple had created a ripple which is so very vivid still in our minds. A healthy relation between those in power and a mahant reflects peace in society. While the party will try to ensure that its popularity remains intact, blessings of the mahant from the Lord’s house will remain as an icing for a better tomorrow. And in Rajasthan, for any auspicious and momentous event, political parties, irrespective of the colour, industrialists and the aam aadmi seek the blessings of Moti Dungri and the Mahant.
