Currently in this financial year, works like escalators and lifts at various stations like Ajmer, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur were installed.
NWR is now gearing up to provide more passenger amenities in the coming financial year. This year it will be spending about Rs100 crore which will be almost double the amount allotted to NWR last year. Giving the information, chief public relations officer Tarun Jain said that in financial year 2017-18, Rs 49.41 crore was allotted to NWR for passenger amenities. This time, however NWR has been allotted Rs 98.51 crore.
With the increased amount more lifts will be installed at stations like Jaipur, Udaipur Jodhpur and Hisar (Haryana). Notably, Jaipur already has more lifts and the idea of railways is to increase the number of lifts so that every platform has a list.

Apart from this, various works like making of new station building for Kishangarh railway station, platform shelter in Gandhi Nagar railway station and Kanakpura in Jaipur, Dausa station and at many other stations have been made.
Notably, Jaipurites got a third entry point for Jaipur junction in this financial year.In last few days CCTV facility has been added at Gandhi Nagar station which has now become an all- women station, while wi-fi has also been made available for the passengers. In the coming year with the enhanced budget, more facilities will be made available for the passengers with new technology.
