No malnutrition deaths in Baran district: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje

Addressing a gathering on the second day of Gaurav Yatra in the Hadouti region, Raje underscored the development works done by her government across the state and by the central government.

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday said that  not a single child has died of malnutrition in Baran district in last four-and-half year. Addressing a gathering on the second day of Gaurav Yatra in the Hadouti region, Raje underscored the development works done by her government across the state and by the central government. “Had there been any malnutrition death in Baran, Rahul Gandhi would have visited the place but he hasn’t visited Baran even once during the in last four and a half years,” Raje said.            

Raje detailed the benefits of Parvan irrigation project worth Rs. 8000 crore for the people of Baran district and assured them that they would start reaping the benefits by December this year. Raje also attacked Congress for just laying foundation stone of the Parvan irrigation project without  allotment of the land and obtaining required NOCs.

At public meetings at Atru and Chipabarode, Raje talked about the waiving of farmers’ loans up to Rs 50,000, distribution of domestic gas connections, welfare schemes for girl child, reduction of 4 percent VAT on petrol and diesel and assured electric connection to every household in the state by March 2019.

CM Raje also announced developmental works that include the construction of bridge in Sahajpur in Chipabarode area, setting up of 33 KV grid and construction of anicut over Gulali river.  

Besides, local MLA and BJP workers, state BJP president Madan Lal Saini, MP Dushyant Singh accompanied Raje during her Gaurav Yatra in Baran district.
