A meeting to discuss how the spending of the government funds can be done on the basis of priorities in various sectors was held in the city on Monday. Niti Aayog vice chairman Rajiv Kumar was present during the session and he later met chief minister Vasundhara Raje at her residence. 

Experts of Copenhagen consensus centre and other subject experts met the state’s officials and discussed the ways and means to spend the money in various sectors like urban development, agriculture or in health and other sectors in a way that the maximum benefit can be given to the people of the state. They discussed in detail how the spending can be done in various sectors for the development of the state.

On the basis on the discussions carried out in the meeting, the policies will be made for various sectors. 

Notably, the Tata Trusts and the Copenhagen Consensus Centre, are working with stakeholders across the state to identify, analyse, and prioritise the best solutions to the challenges faced by the state.

Between June and November 2017, Rajasthan Priorities held a total of 19 sector expert consultation meetings in Jaipur. Over 600 interventions were suggested during these consultations with over 430 sector experts participating in the consultations. The purpose of the sector expert consultations was to introduce policy makers and decision makers in the state to that in India.
