Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Pakistan visit part of larger agenda: Muralidhar Rao

National General Secretary, BJP, Muralidhar Rao came down heavily on the Congress and accused it of playing divisive politics of unconstitutional appeasement on basis of religion. He said the Telangana manifesto promised based on religion were a blueprint of Congress agenda in 2019. He said that comments and actions of Navjot Singh Sidhu are part of a larger plan of Congress.

He said that the BJP was considering on issue of reservation to the economically backwards and would bring something for them before 2019. Speaking on Sidhu’s Pakistan visit and utterances, the national secretary of BJP said, Siddhu is not inadvertently furthering individual agenda. It is part of Congress strategy. All his activities are part of a larger plan or agenda. That Navjot Singh Sidhu doing this against wishes of the Congress is not possible. Rao said Congress is emerging as a party compromising with national security, associated with naxalites and aligned with forces that wage war against the nation.

He said the SC reservation promised to Dalit Christians and and benefits offered to them and Minorities challenge the provision of the Constitution. “Even during the debate in the Constituent Assembly Ambedkar had agreed that reservation is for people from Hindu religion facing untouchability. Also SC reservation is not state-centric. This means Congress wants to give SC status to Dalit Christians by curtailing rights of the Dalits,” said Rao.
