Mystery shrouds death of IB official

The 32-year-old officer identified as Chetan Prakash Galav, a resident of Jhalawar was brought dead to a hospital on Tuesday night, SHO at Sadar police station Jhalawar Sanjay Prasad Meena said.

An assistant central intelligence officer of Intelligence Bureau (IB) posted in New Delhi was found dead in suspicious circumstances on  Jhalrapatan-Bhawanimandi road on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old officer identified as Chetan Prakash Galav, a resident of Jhalawar was brought dead to a hospital on Tuesday night, SHO at Sadar police station Jhalawar Sanjay Prasad Meena said. The IB official, who was on leave, after spending a  days time with his parents in Ramganjmandi town, reportedly boarded train for home in the evening but did not reach home, he said. When he did not return, his brother-in-law went out to look for him and found him lying on the side of Jhalrapatan-Bhawanimandi road.

He was immediately rushed to government hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. Hospital authorities said the body bore no injury mark.

Since the IB official died in suspicious condition, postmortem was carried out by medical board on Thursday morning following which the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites, SHO Sanjay Prasad Meena said.
