MP Sonaram faces wrath of villagers

MP Colonel Sonaram who was on the tour of the border area faced anger for not fulfilling the promises made during the elections. After becoming MP, this was his first visit to the Jesindhar village.

During a public hearing at a school, the villagers expressed their anger for not fulfilling the promise of making the road in the village and laying water pipelines. On not getting justification people shut him in the school room and locked the gate from outside. Sonaram remained closed in the room for about an hour.

Later, former MLA Harisingh Sodha tried to convince people and broke the lock. He made an apology to the villagers, and went to Gadra road from there.

His son also promised to lay the pipeline early in the past months.
