After rains during the initial days of last week followed by arrival of Southwest Monsoon, Rajasthan is now facing dry and hot weather conditions since the past 3-4 days.

With the absence of fresh rains, mercury once again reached the 40 degrees Celsius mark at many places. As the monsoon has now shifted towards the foothills of Himalayas, weathermen do not see any relief from humid and hot conditions for the next 3-4 days and showers are expected to occur once again by the end of this week.

As per local MeT office report, parts of Bharatpur division experienced some very light to moderate spell at isolated places and weather remained dry in rest of the divisions of the state on Monday. Bharatpur and Nadbai received rainfall of 30 mm followed by Kumher 20 mm, Sardarshahar 20 mm and Deeg 10 mm.

With the reduction of rains, hot and humid conditions once again prevailed. The highest maximum temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Shriganganagar followed by Churu at 40.4 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees Ceslius in Bikaner, 38.9° in Barmer, 38.8° in Jaisalmer and 38.5° in Pilani.

In Jaipur, amid scattered cloud activities in open sky, temperature reached above normal level. The maximum temperature was recorded at 37.4 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature was recorded at 28.0 degrees Celsius.

As per Met report weather will be dry on Tuesday while maximum and minimum temperature are likely to be around 36 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively during the next 24 hours.

However, as the humidity levels are present in the atmosphere and temperatures are rising, thundercloud development can be a chance which may give spot showers for a short duration. In addition to this, good Monsoon rains may reappear over the state around July 9 and 10.
