Crime against women across the country is growing by the minute. The court(s) may be delivering harsh verdicts but that has not demoralised the perpetrators of crime.
The Sirohi police arrested three persons for the gruesome murder of a girl from Saharanpur. The victim was murdered and then beheaded and the body was later dumped on railway tracks.
The body was found on April 14. The hate story doesn't end at that. The killers, in a bid, to divert attention and turn the face beyond recognition, peeled off the skin.
Acting on a tip off from the locals, the police arrested the killers. So far, what has come forth is the script of a violent love story that had gone terribly awry with a sordid end.
Nadeem who hails from Saharanpur, worked as an electrician at a shop on Abu Road. he had met Arina when he had gone home. Some time later, the two had decided to elope. Nadeem left Abu Road on April 7 for Saharanpur.
He took the help of his friend Azam and his wife Najeesh to bring Arina to Abu Road. To avoid suspicion, Nadeem sent Arina off with Azam and Nazeesh and he left alone.
It had been barely a few days that the two were living together when they got into an altercation on April 14. In a fit of rage, Nadeem strangulated Arina and she died.
Once again, he took the help of Azam and Nazeesh to dispose of Arina’s body. The three took the body to a railway track. There they chopped off the head and peeled off the skin of the face to prevent recognition. They also took off her clothes and burnt them.
The police found the body on the night of April 14. A case was registered and a special team was formed. The first clue cops were provided with was that three persons who lived in Abu Road were missing since the day the body was found.
Sirohi police contacted Saharanpur police and found that Arina’s family had lodged a missing complaint with them. The three accused Nadeem, Azam and Nazeesh were traced to Vatheda village in Saharanpur. All three have admitted to the crime during interrogation and have been arrested.
“Three persons have been arrested from Saharanpur and have admitted to the crime. They have also confessed to the entire sequence of events. However, we are also conducting a DNA test on the body," said Vijay Pal Singh Sandu, DSP Mount Abu.
