Kishangarh Airport still have no flight for Delhi

Currently, only Supreme Airlines flight is being run between Kishangarh and Udaipur and there is no other flight.

It has been six months that Kishangarh Airport was inaugurated in October 2017 but the passengers are still waiting for the scheduled flights as only one scheduled flight is being operated from this airport till now.

Currently, only Supreme Airlines flight is being run between Kishangarh and Udaipur and there is no other flight. Passenger load for Delhi is expected from this region, flight for which is yet not in place even after more than 3 months.

In the 2nd round of bidding under the regional connectivity scheme UDAN, (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) Spice Jet has been awarded Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi route with a frequency of 7 flights per week, the flight has not yet started and Airline is said to be in talks with the airport authority regarding the same.

Many people in Ajmer have also taken to social media asking the airport authority and even the civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu for starting flight from Kishangarh to Delhi. Possibilities are being explored by one more airline to start its service to Delhi, however nothing is yet confirmed. Sources informed that other airlines are in touch with the airport authorities for various routes and are weighing their options related to viability and passenger load before operating flights from this airport which is hardly over 100 km from Jaipur International Airport.

Though the airport is not seeing any other scheduled flight other than Kishangarh Udaipur flight, it is however serving many non scheduled flights. Many industrialists have been coming to Kishangarh Airport through charter flights while air ambulances are also operating through this airport.

The  ministry of civil aviation informed that all infrastructure is in place at Kishangarh Airport and airlines can now operate from this airport. It is upto airlines to provide services to specific places depending upon traffic demand and 
commercial viability.
