Karan Singh Jagawat, retired Assistant Commissioner, Indian Railways, at the age of 70 does not want to retire from his adventure and energy. Titled as Mr Supersenior, Jagawat, completed 20,000 kilometres trek across the country on a bicycle, on Wednesday. It took him 178 days to finish his journey at Amar Jawan Jyoti. Self-financed and supported by Adventuregearshop, Jagawat cycled around all four corners of the country and visited 27 states and four union territories. He believes in the motto of ‘I am Possible’ and is on a mission to Save The Girl Child across India. “I want today’s generation to understand that age is just a number when the aim is higher than the sky. That is what the aim should be,” Jagawat said. This expedition has been shortlisted for Limca Book of Records 2018.

However, this is not the first time Jagawat has made it to the books creating history. He has also made it to the records for completing Solo Golden Quadrilateral- 6711 kms in 2017, with a message ‘To promote the spirit of Health, Life and Vegetarianism,’ and ‘Support the Girl child’ in 52 days. It is to be noted that the 70-year-old lives on only vegetable and fruit diet, and does not consume any form of wheat. He has multiple stitches on this stomach due to two operations and is also suffering from Parkinson’s effect, and severe varicose veins.
