Chief Managing Director of Jaipur Metro Pawan Kumar Goyal analysed the progress in construction of the Jal Kund and underground Art Gallery situated at Chhoti Chaupar Metro Station on Tuesday. At first, Goyal was welcomed by the Project Director Ashwini Saxena. The representatives of both Jaipur and Delhi Metro, CEC Company, Amer Development and Management Authority (ADMA) and Abha Narayan Associates (Archaeological Protection) were present on the occasion.
Firstly, Goyal examined the construction work going on in the art gallery while entering from the North Western entrance of the Chhoti Chaupar. He also gave required instructions to the representatives of the construction agency EDMA to complete the task within deadlines, before August 15. In this link, Goyal also inspected the renovation and reconstruction work while entering the Kund via the basement of art gallery.
While reviewing the construction work from the Concourse Level, Goyal, along with the team, took the information regarding laying down the track on the Operating Level as well as other technical tasks, and also directed to speed up the work.
During the visit, the heritage consultant representatives informed Goyal and the group present there about the safety and protection of sculptures, paintings, remains of the Kund, archeological remains found during digging in Chaupar, Gaumukh and other important archeological things from various districts used in the decoration of the art gallery through drawing / sketch.
At the end of the visit, CMD Goyal said that the work of archeological protection has been done with great planning leaving no stones unturned, under the observation of technical specialists.
While praising the archeological protection-related work of Kund and underground Art Gallery taken as an initiative by the Jaipur Metro, Goyal said that the Jaipurites will soon be able to visit this amazing and unique heritage.
