Jaipuria Hosp to get MRI machine

The new facility will reduce patients burden at SMS Hospital and will cater burden of eastern city

Patients coming to Jaipuria Hospital in the capital will get the facility of MRI test at the hospital now as MRI machine has been installed here. Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf will inaugurate this facility at the hospital on Thursday. The facility will be available at rates equivalent to that of at Sawai Man Singh Hospital.

The MRI facility is being started at Jaipuria hospital on public-private partnership (PPP) under a memorandum of understanding signed between EHCC hospital and state health department. It will reduce patients load at SMS Hospital, the largest public hospital in the state as people residing at surrounding areas will be able to get the benefit of this facility.

“With an intention to relieve the burden of patients on SMS Hospital, our aim is also to provide best health facilities to the large population living in the eastern part of the capital, and that too at affordable rates. For the purpose, the government is strengthening facilities at Jaipuria Hospital. Recently bed capacity at Jaipuria Hospital was increased to 380 and by the end of this year it will be further increased to 500 beds,” said Saraf.

It is worth mentioning that in the month of February this year, super specialty facilities were introduced at various departments like neurosurgery, neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology and plastic surgery were introduced in the hospital. In May it’s seven bedded NICU, was transformed into sixteen bed sick newborn care unit (SNCU).
