The second phase has been proposed on a length of 29.5 kilometers between Sitapura and VKI and has further provision to be extended by 8 kilometers further of Sitapura to have it connected with the Ring Road by the year 2031.

“In the initial detailed project report submitted by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the second phase was proposed on length of 23.8 kilometers between Sitapura and Ambabari. This has been extended to connect Airport and Collectorate circle,” said  Ashwani Saxena, director project Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC).

The CMP further suggests on improving the existing public transportation system of the city. It addresses the issue of last mile and first mile connectivity through multi model integration.

Plan In Motion

The plan suggests implementation of transportation infrastructure including, junction improvements, development of bus and truck terminals and radial routes that help connect the Metro with the outer Ring Road by the year 2031, JMRC said.
