The families of those who lost their lives due to the storm that ravaged the state two days ago will receive a compensation of Rs 4 lakh.

Besides, animal loss and damage to houses will also be compensated. After the lightning, which was accompanied by rain, the state government has now included storm in the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF).

The State government will compensate the affected families of the storm under SDRF. While addressing the press conference at the BJP state headquarters, Industry Minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat gave this information.

Shekhawat has said that the Centre had notified the natural disasters for getting compensation under the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) and the SDRF. These notified disasters did not include storm till now. “On Wednesday, 13 people were killed and 50 injured in Dhaulpur due to the storm in the state. Similarly, in Bharatpur district, six people were killed and eight were injured.

After this natural calamity, the state government has now included the storm as a state-specific disaster category.

The Central government funded Rs 1,200 crore under the SDRF.

RELIEF AMOUNT

  • The relatives of the deceased will get Rs 4 lakh per person
  • From Rs 60,000 to Rs 2 lakh for the injured
  • Rs 95,000 for complete demolished house
  • Rs 5,200 for partial damage (more than 15 percent) to a permanent house 
  • Rs 3,200 for partial damage of over 15 percent to a house
  • Rs 4,100 for a damaged hut

Cattle compensation

  • Death of cow-buffalo: Rs 30,000 (maximum Rs 90,0000)
  • Death of Goat: Rs 3,000
