To provide more updated and accurate information about the arrival and departure of trains, the information is now being provided digitally instead of being fed manually at the Jaipur railway station.

The data logger has been linked with the inter-charge point at Jaipur junction. With this the time of arrival or departure of the train will be digitally fed into the National Train Enquiry System (NTES). This means that there won’t be any manual feeding of the train timings at the stations and this will provide more accurate information about the train timings.

There had been instances when the train was yet to arrive at the station but the enquiry system informed that train has arrived. To do away with such problems, this new system has been started at the NWR.

The arrangement has been made at all the 11 interchange stations in Jaipur division by linking them with the data logger. These include Rewari, Bandikui, Alwar apart from Jaipur in the Jaipur division.

Chief public relation officer (CPRO) of NWR, Tarun Jain, informed that many time the passengers complain that the timings of arrival and departure of the trains is not fed correctly and therefore this causes inconvenience to passengers. For this, NWR led by general manager TP Singh has made special attempts and the work of digitalisation has started. Under this, as soon as the train arrives at a station, the information is recorded in the date logger and since it’s digital, therefore, there is no chance of any incorrect information.

Notably, before this system, manual entry of arrival and departure of trains was recorded and there were chances of errors, when the passengers used to check with train enquiry system they received information which may not have been correct many times.

Apart from Jaipur division, the similar facility has been provided at Ajmer division which has Madaar, Marwar and Udaipur station, Bikaner division’s Bikaner station, Sriganganagar and Hisar while Jodhpur division’s Jodhpur station has also been linked with this new system.
