The work on the elevated road between Ambedkar Circle and Hawa Sadak is going on in full swing and in the coming weeks the work of putting segments too will be done with. For the same, the segment launcher have already been put on both the ends of this under construction elevated road.

Three months back, the segment launcher was put at the side of Sodala end of the road while a few days back it has been now put up at the Ambedkar Circle side end. The work of putting segments already started from the Sodala side and now segment launcher is being put at the Ambedkar Circle end as well.

Sources informed that 90 per cent of the foundation work related to pillar making has been completed while more than 600 piles have been made for making the elevated road. The project may not be completed within the declared deadline of January 2019 and instead it is being expected that the work will be completed with a delay of around six months.

The elevated road will provide relief from traffic congestion between Sodala and Rambagh Circle. The road is expected to save nearly 40 minutes of travelling time and decongest Hawa Sadak as it would offer a non-stop drive at a speed of up to 50 kmph. Notably, the length of the elevated road from Ambedkar Circle to Sodala is 2.8 km. One wing of the project will branch out at Chambal Power House on Hawa Sadak to connect with areas like Swej Farm and Shyam Nagar. Currently, the road during the peak hours in morning and in evening witness traffic jams and it takes a lot of time to cross that passage.
