Jaipur: Fun activities mark Children’s Day

On this ocassion, literature and books on childern’s day was also distributed to the students.

Children’s Day was celebrated in the city on Wednesday with special fun activities, painting, fancy dress competitions, and fairs for children in various schools. Most of the schools had started preparations much in advance to mark the day.

Skits, short plays, fancy dress shows etc were organised were the most popular among the programmes. At Subodh public school a pot lunch for junior class students was organised while for secondary classes fun and frolic activities were held. On this ocassion, literature and books on childern’s day was also distributed to the students.

Another school organised a visit to the SMS stadium for its students. The kids went to see the ongoing Ranji Trophy cricket match between Services and Team Rajasthan at the stadium and met the stars of the cricket teams. It was a good time for the students watching the match in the stadium. In one of the schools in the city, teachers played the role of students and staged a play for students.

Programs under the Atal Tinkering labs which are set up in various schools were also organised on this day.

In many schools, the students were informed about the importance of this day and they were told why the day is celebrated across the country.

In most of the schools the childern were given freedom from school bags and there was fun activities for the whole school duration on Wednesday while in many schools students were allowed not to wear school uniform and were permitted to come in usual normal clothes.

In schools, the preparations for this day start a week before itself and many activities are planned throughout the day.

Meanwhile, a drawing and painting competition was organised by Jaipur police at Central Park.  About 3,500 students of various government and private schools participated in it and drew and painted their emotions on the canvas and drawing sheets.

‘We are happy to be here to draw and paint away form regular studies, I like to draw and paint and therefore I am here,” said a school student.
