Jaipur discom has installed more than 100 transformers in city circle to ensure supply of fault-free electricity during Diwali.
Along with this, capacity augmentation of many other transformers has also been done so that the residents can happily enjoy the festival of lights. These transformers will be able to handle the additional load which will be generated during Diwali.
Since Sunday, city markets have been lit up with decorative lights. Kishanpol Bazaar, Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar MI Road, Jayanti market and other markets of Walled City, Raja Park, Tilak Nagar, Vaishali Nagar and almost every other markets located in the city are decorated with decorative lights. And all this will generate additional electricity load. The traders and vyaapar mandals are happy that like previous years this time too they have been given temporary connections at concessional rates to light up the markets.

Sources say, temporary electricity connections of 2400 KW have been issued this time. Sources informed that there will be an additional load of 2,5000 units per day during the festival days.
The weather has also taken a turn and now nights have become colder therefore many people have stopped using fans at night. Therefore discom is in a comfortable position regarding load on power system. Jaipur discom has set up control rooms to solve the grievances of the consumers. These control rooms will be working 24 hours at all the sub-division offices and the discom employees and the fault rectification teams will be on an alert.
