Top investigation agency CBI in association with the CFSL will recreate the encounter of dreaded gangster Anandpal Singh at Malasar village in Churu district on Tuesday July 31. This recreation would be done at Shravan Singh’s house where Anandpal was killed in police encounter on June 24, 2017.
Members of Haryana and Rajasthan police will encounter a dummy Anandpal in the same manner that they described the encounter to have taken place. CBI has summoned total 59 officers and jawans who were present at the time of the encounter for this exercise. A closed door meeting of CBI and CFSL officials would be held on Monday wherein a blueprint of the exercise would be prepared. Recreation would be done on Tuesday at Shravan Singh’s house, where Anandpal was encountered. A 10 member CFSL team arrived in Churu on Sunday for the same. All weapons used in the encounter had been taken into its possession by the CFSL and examined in the forensic laboratory. A report has been prepared about the usage of the weapons and how many times a particular weapon had been fired. A report regarding location of police officials, based on their cell phone locations, has also been prepared. Weapons used by Anandpal Singh have also been examined.
The CBI team under Sunil Ravat has been camping in Churu conducting investigations and taking statements of all persons concerned with the case. All policemen, witnesses and members of Anandpal’s family have been interrogated by the agency.
CBI had registered three different cases under various sections. These are related to Anandpal’s encounter, death of Surendra Singh and third is in relation to the violence and arson that took place in Anandpal’s village Sanwrad on July 13, 2017. Rajput leaders had been called for questioning in this case. Anandpal Singh had been killed in a police encounter on the night of June 24 2017. His family had alleged that the encounter was fake.
