Whenever they share a platform, political speculations run rife and several implications of words and actions are drawn. On Tuesday, the political chatterati was avid spectator as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje shared the dais. Both termed the event as a landmark in the history of the state. But the event is also set to create another landmark; albeit in the internal politics of the BJP.

The master maverick with words; Prime Minister Modi praised Raje not once or twice but almost half a dozen times. He congratulated her on working with Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan to commence work on the refinery. He said Raje took decisions in the interest of Rajasthan.

Modi, the man who loves to crack great deals, praised Raje for working out a great one for her state regarding the refinery. “She has life values of the royalty, but the temprament of a Marwari. Through which she managed to get more funds for Rajasthan from the Centre,” he said.

Modi went on to say that Raje was auspicious for Rajasthan. He said Congress brought drought along with it, while rains were in abundance whenever Raje was at the helm of affairs.

While reasons for the shift in equilibrium regarding the relationship equation will continue to be drawn and debated; it wouldn’t be incorrect to say that; the praise that PM Modi showered on the CM is sure to help the party end confusion about its internal power equations.
