Jaipur: BJP puts its ‘house’ in order by taking city unit out of party HQ

The city unit of the BJP could be on an office hunting spree, soon. The unit that was housed in the party head quarters is now to be shifted out. This is being done to make space for a plush reception area that would be made in the rooms that presently make up the office of the city unit of the ruling party.

Incidentally the rural wing of Jaipur district too had offices in the same wing and had been shifted out last year when their space was vacated for the digital library that was inaugurated by national president Amit Shah during his visit last year.

The shifting is likely to be ordered soon and renovation for the state-of-the-art waiting room and reception would soon begin,” an office bearer within the city unit, said. “The decision has been pending for long. It has come up for discussion in several meetings but somehow finalization remained pending,” the person added. 

The move, however, has not gone down well with the city unit, especially in view of the fact that the Jaipur Rural unit is still functioning without an office even after a year. 

Not the first time

Earlier, the district unit of Jaipur BJP was also shunted out of the party head quarters. They are yet to be provided with a formal office.
