On her third visit to Ajmer in last three weeks, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday showered sops in form of development projects and schemes in this bypoll bound parliamentary constituency. Raje, after laying foundation stone of modernised dairy plant worth Rs 252 crore, promised to develop the dairy sector on the lines of Gujarat and directed the state machinery to work on production of chocolate in Bhilwara and cheese in Bikaner.

Addressing a gathering, the CM enumerated achievements of her government in Ajmer and said that her government would establish a fund of Rs 100 to strengthen milk unions.  

“Our government has been working with sincerity to increase the income of milk producers and livestock farmers to make them prosperous and happy. In order to empower milk unions, the government will establish a fund of Rs 100 crore. This will help the milk producers to store more milk and also the common man will get good quality milk at reasonable prices. The fund would directly benefit 9 lakh milk producers of the state.”

Presenting a score sheet of her government’s tenure to the date, the CM claimed that  Rs 6330 crore has been allocated for development works in Ajmer alone and promised to continue development of the region. “The dairy plant will be a boon for livestock farmers. Here 10 lakh litres of milk will be stored and 30 metric tonnes milk powder will be produced per day. Also, 4 lakh litres of milk will be packed and products like cheese, paneer, flavored milk and butter will be produced too. The government also plans to open Nandi Shala in each district of the state,” Raje said.

Raje also  inaugurated Abhay Command Control Centre which has been built at a cost of Rs 40 crore. She also launched Vijaya Raje Scindia Nagar scheme, for which Rs 57 crore has been allocated. Raje also announced that that the four-lane national highway from Kishangarh to Gujarat border will be converted into six-lane at a cost of Rs 4000 crore. “Also after trial at the Kishangarh airport on Tuesday,  operation of regular flights will begin shortly,,” said Raje.
