It’s back to sunny days sans any major weather activity

Southwest monsoon made an onset over most parts of Rajasthan a few days ago. With this, good monsoon showers have been lashing the region. However, the activity in the last 24 hours was not really enough for the state and thus Rajasthan did not witness good rains.

As per weathermen, the state will now likely to observe dry weather condition due to the absence of any significant weather system over the region. While the possibility of light rains over east Rajasthan cannot be ruled out, west Rajasthan will remain completely dry for the next few days.

Jaipur witnessed a complete dry spell for second consecutive day on Tuesday. Despite of cloud activities in the sky, high humidity made people to sweat for whole the day. Absence of rain resulted increase in temperature as maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at 35.6 and 26.8 degrees celsius respectively. Local MeT office forecasted that thunderstorm likely to occur during next 24 hours while maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 and 27 degrees celsius respectively.

According to MeT report, heavy rainfall occurred at only one or two places in Bharatpur division on the state on Tuesday. Light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places in Kota division and at a few places in Udaipur division and at isolated places in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of the state.

Due to good rainfall activity over both west and east Rajasthan, the regions have been witnessing rainfall surplus. While the rainfall surplus for west Rajasthan stands at a whopping 159% making it largely excess, east Rajasthan is also witnessing surplus rains at 39%.

As per weathermen, there is absence of any significant weather system over the region. Thus, good monsoon showers will remain in hiding and dry weather will take over. Temperatures may witness an increase over the region resulting in uncomfortable and uneasy weather for the next few days.
