The Rajasthan Sampark Portal has become a headache for the officers of the state government. Many such complaints are being lodged daily on the portal, whose immediate disposal is not possible or impractical. The concerned officers are expressing their inability to settle the complaint, but the operator sitting in the control room is constantly commenting on the written reply of the officers.

The state government had started the Rajasthan Sampark Portal for the disposal of public problems. The  IAS and RAS officers of various departments are worried about the portal’s complaint pendencies. There are many complaints which cannot be immediately settled. Rather than shutting down such complaints, operators repeatedly keep sending the problems to the concerned department.

The issue was also discussed in the Collector-SP Conference held few days back chaired by the Chief Minister. In the conference, CM expressed displeasure over the pending complaints filed on the portal. When DNA studied some complaints lodged on the Sampark Portal, it was revealed that the computer operator was falling heavily on the IAS officer.

Case 1

A person resident of Shri Ram Nagar, located at Ward 41, Jaipur lodged a complaint on the Portal that there is a road slope in front of his house and there is a possibility of rain waterlogging. The complaint was transferred to the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. JMC Commissioner Ravi Jain responded to the complaint that there is no need to work on this complaint at present. But the complainant again complained on the Portal and the computer operator posted in the control room that the complainant is not satisfied with the action. The Municipal Corporation is not building the road. The complaint was sent back to the municipal corporation.

Case 2

A resident of Sharma Colony located at Ward 58 demanded the reconstruction of the road on the portal. JMC Commissioner Jain abrogates the case due to lack of budget. But this complaint was not stopped and it was put in the pendency. There are many cases in which the complaint has been abolished by the concerned department or denied budget or technical reasons. After this, the complaints are repeatedly sent to the departments.
