Soorsagar MLA Suryakanta Vyas had to face a fierce protest by the locals including the councilor for development works on Thursday. On this, she reached the Municipal Corporation on Friday and expressed her displeasure over the development works being done by Mayor Ghanshyam Ojha in her assembly constituency.
When the officials were asked for details of the works done so far in their area, she was told that the works of about Rs2 crore have been done but she was not satisfied with their reply. On demanding details in writing, about Rs35 lakh were found to be paid in lieu of a work, whereas nothing was actually done. On this, the mayor intervened and calmed her and assured her to complete these works soon.

Miffed over the snail’s pace at which the work was going on, the MLA and directed the concerned officials to get the projects completed. Acting promptly on the directions, the mayor asked various officials of municipal corporation to immediately provide the required details of the works done in the ward.
