IPL: Rajasthan players who can make the cut

Apart from Pankaj all other Rajasthan players are in the lowest price slab of Rs 20 lakh for uncapped players

With re-entry of Rajasthan Royals inthe 11th edition of IPL, about a dozen players from the state can hope to make the cut. More than 1000 players had got themselves registered, but after pruning 578 players are up for sale including 12 from Rajasthan led by former test player Pankaj Singh who has base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Apart from Pankaj all other Rajasthan players are in the lowest price slab of Rs 20 lakh for uncapped players. Since, Pankaj has played for India his base price is Rs 50 lakh, although he too is in the lowest slab for the capped players.

Of course, all these players can hope to get a higher price as happened in the case of Nathu Singh who was picked for a whopping Rs 3.2 crore by Pune two years ago though his base price was Rs 10 lakh. Last year, Gujarat paid Rs 50 lakh for him. This year Nathu along with 10 other players from the state is in the group of 303 players who have base price of Rs 20 lakh.  

Apart from Pankaj and Nathu, there is Ashok Menaria who was with Rajasthan Royals in initial years. Rajesh Bishnoi (Sr) and Mahipal Lomror, Aniket Choudhary and Kamlesh Nagarkoti have also been part of IPL franchises earlier. Nagarkoti is currently playing under-19 world cup and created waves by clocking 145 km.

The new comers in the list are Tanveer, Siddhant Dobal, Khaleel Ahmed, Tejendra Singh and Ankit Lamba.
