IPL auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore invite fans to give live suggestion on social media

Cricket experts, managers and enthusiasts all will have their nerves tested as some of the best cricketing talents in the world undergo auction for the biggest T20 tournament, IPL 2019.  The event to be held in Jaipur today has a pool of 346 shortlisted cricketers that will be available against 70 spots for 8 franchise teams. 

As all these players display unique combination of cricketing skills, the teams along with their criteria requirement will also have availability of slots and salary cap in consideration. Each team is allowed to have up to 25 players, including maximum 8 overseas players, on board with a total salary cap of Rs 82 crore. 

Kings XI Punjab with an available salary cap of Rs 36.20 crore has maximum spending capacity, but with just 10 players remaining in the team they will need to get more than a couple of players. They have released all-rounder Axar Patel and Yuvraj Singh and might thus look to dis-invest the saving in improving number of player options during tournament.

All the strategies planned, they will also need to face the contemporary circumstances and pressure that will emerge. As the auction will advance, the IPL teams will need to improvise as per auction advances. Making it further exciting for their fans the Royal Challengers Bangalore have invited public to make live suggestions on its social media account during the auction. These suggestions will be considerated by the team expert committee in real-time. The team with 10 slots vacant has salary cap of little more than Rs 18 crore. 

The auction will lay the final list of participants for IPL 2019 expected to be held somewhere around mid of the coming year. The tournament in its 12th edition has continued to register rise in popularity in India and abroad.
