In the event organised by the District Administration and Sainik Kalyan Board in Jaipur on Tuesday under ‘Shahadat ko Salam’ program, a tribute was given to the martyrs of the country at Amar Jawan Jyoti situated at Janpath. At the beginning of the program, District Collector Siddharth Mahajan, Police Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal and District Soldier Welfare Officer Retired Colonel NS Chauhan presented a tribute to the martyrs by offering a wreath at the shaheed smarak.

During the event, students of schools and colleges gave their performances on different patriotic songs. Mahajan expressed gratitude towards all while appreciating the great presentations in the program. On this occasion, Additional District Collector Dhara Singh Meena and Sub-divisional Officer Jaipur-I Manish Faujdar were present besides police administration, JDA, school and college teachers, students and other dignitaries.

Notably, one of its kind event was organised by the state government on Tuesday. From the morning, people from Barmer, Jaisalmer Bikaner, and Ganganagar district started their journey to adjacent border at National Highway 68.

People took part in the event from across the country and had tricolor and balloons in their hands. Everyone present the spot was seen taking part in the initiative by making a human chain. The enthusiasm was such that many of them even made rangoli on the streets and on the other hand, several children from different school marked their presence by singing and performing patriotic songs. Wearing traditional attires, people were seen appearing in this series and saluting the martyrdom. For this, Shahadat’s salute program began simultaneously at 11 o’clock in the morning.

‘The whole country is with soldiers’

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje witnessed the human chain in Barmera and showered flowers from the helicopter and after that, she reached Jaisalmer straightaway. She paid respect to the martyrs and joined the human chain. While speaking on the occasion, she said, “Today our region wants to give a message that we are standing with the family of martyrs. Every child in the state is their friend”. She added, “We have taken the prime minister’s thought a step forward. The whole country is with soldiers and martyrs”.

  • Wearing traditional attires, people were seen appearing in this series and saluting the martyrdom. For this, Shahadat’s salute program began simultaneously at 11 o’clock in the morning, which ended in the afternoon at 1 o’clock in the entire state together followed by the national anthem.
