When Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes live on TV, radio and cyber space around February 16 noon to address school and college students across the country, power may be playing truant in the state.

The reason: Although the state may boast of ‘lighting up’ all its villages post Diwali 2017,there are hutments galore in villages where people ‘don’t have’ the power. Even if they do, the supply is erratic.

As a result, the PM’s mega show may go kaput! Thus, the good old radio, be it in the form of a mobile phone, will be the savior.

During the speech, the PM will address the students across the country and give tips on exam preparations and stress management to them.

The PM will address the students from Class 6 to college and tell them  how to reduce stress during exam.

The Prime Minister had launched ‘Exam Warriors’, a book on February 3. This book is written by the PM himself. Here,he had told students how to manage stress. He will deliberate on this issue at length during his February 16 address.

His main focus will be on the class 10 and 12 board examinations. This programme of the PM will be broadcast live on Doordarshan’s DD National, DD News and DD India channels besides All India Radio, FM, YouTube, PMO,MHRD, Doordarshan and My gov website.

The state government issued instructions to all school principals and headmasters to arrange television and radio in schools for this programme. The School Education Department and the Higher Education Department have written to all the schools and colleges heads in this regard and told them to mandatorily show the programme to the students. This programme will be broadcast from 11 am to 12 noon on February 16. The school education department has instructed school heads to ensure that they have a TV and power connection in their school.

Schools which do not have electricity in rural areas, have not been not able to arrange for TV. There, a student can hear the PM’s programme on radio. The state government issued an order to show the PM’s programme on TV.

But there is no TV in many schools in the state. Currently, it is difficult to arrange for a TV on rent. The biggest problem is in the rural areas. There is no electrical connection even in schools. In such a situation, students will have to be content hearing the PM’s address on radio.
