IG Jail, Rupendra Singh has started an inquiry in the matter of two videos which ware uploaded from Jodhpur jail by Shambhu Raigar, who is accused of Rajasthan’s famous Rajsamand live murder case.
He inquired from Shambhu, prison guards and prisoners about mobile and making video for three hours. It was found in the investigation that Shambhu was given permission to go to the temple in jail for the last few days. Probably he made this video during or after going there but Shambhu has not said anything about how he got the mobile and where did he made the video. IG Jail took information from the jail authorities upon how the mobile reached jail, video making and jammer. He inspected all the barracks in jail. He also checked the barracks of Shambhu along with security system of jail.
Jail DG Bhupendra Singh told that the matter of making of video by Shambhu in jail has been taken very seriously. IG Rupendra Singh reached Jodhpur to investigate the case. After investigating the matter, he will go to Jaipur and submit the report. If the negligence of the prison officials or the collusion of jail guards comes to light, strict action will be taken against them. It is also being questioned that why jammers are not working in jail and how mobile is reaching to the prisoners. There are so many lapses in the security of the jail that even if the dreaded prisoners capture the prison, it will not be surprising. Jail DIG Vikram Singh admits this fact. He told that 1400 prisoners are still in Jodhpur jail but due to lack of staff it is very difficult to handle the dreaded criminals. Not only there is shortage of staff but the weapons with the guards are also obsolete.
