Like other family members, Anandpal’s  younger daughter - Yogita has raised a demand for a CBI enquiry into the encounter in which the gangster was killed.

She has also asked for the release of the attached properties of her father.

The girl also reiterated that the family members would not accept the gangster’s body till the time their demands are met.

“I also demand that a CBI inquiry be instituted into the murder attempt on my father when he was in Bikaner jail. Our demands are not illegal. A false case has been registered against my aunt’s husband and we demand a CBI investigation in that too,” Yogita said.

Interestingly, the gangster’s daughter rejected the postmortem conducted at Ratangarh. “We demand that a postmortem be conducted after forming a board at AIIMS in New Delhi. Also the property to our family that has been attached should be returned to us,” Yogita said.

Notably, the girl has also demanded that Shravan Singh - the man in whose house Anandpal had sought refuge in Malasar in Ratangarh tehsil of Churu district and his family be released with immediate effect and Shravan Singh be allowed to meet his lawyer.

Questioned about the police’s notice regarding taking possession of her father’s body, the girl said, “Neither my mother, grandmother nor any other family member has signed any document to take possession of the body.

If the body is rotting due to  infection, then the onus is on the state government and not on us. They should used some chemicals to preserve the body.

It’s the responsibility of the state government,” she said.
