Singh had completed his deputation in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways a few months back and had joined back the state cadre in August.
The state government has transferred and given new postings to 7 IAS officers before the elections. Senior IAS Rohit Kumar Singh, who had been awaiting posting has been posted as chairman and managing director of Jaipur Metro rail corporation limited. Singh had completed his deputation in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways a few months back and had joined back the state cadre in August. Since then, he was kept on APO and was expected to be given posting soon.
Jaipur Metro has been an ambitious project of the State Government and now it’s being contemplated that second phase’s DPR is being made and it will be a challenge for bringing this phase into reality for maximum use by the commuters. Earlier, it was being speculated that he might be given charge of the department of home but the list declared on Friday puts an end to all such speculations. Senior IAS Ashwini Bhagat who was recently removed from the post of the chief election officer and was waiting for the new post has been now posted as secretary in Ayurvedic Department.
IAS Dr Neeraj K Pawan will now be the new registrar of cooperatives and will replace Rajan Vishal who had been posted just a few months back in May in this department.
The government is currently focusing on implementation of the farm loan waiver scheme in the state and the department of cooperatives has a major role to play in the implementation of this scheme.
Till now, Pawan was posted in administrative reforms department and has a good experience in dealing and engaging farming community and will be a useful hand to the government in the implementation of farm loan waiver. In another important reshuffle, additional chief secretary of General Administrative Department (GAD) Sudarshan Sethi has been now posted as ACS of Tribal Area Development.
IAS Shikhar Agarwal has been given additional charge of this important department. Agarwal has the charge of the water resources department and has important tasks related to important water projects in the state which are being mentioned in Gaurav Yatra too. Additional chief secretary Ravi Shankar Srivastava has been posted as additional chief secretary of administrative reforms department and Shaili Kishnani has been posted as registrar of Bikaner University. Also, IAS Arushi Malik has been kept APO.
