District collector and magistrate, Siddharth Mahajan, on Tuesday, issued guidelines to the authorities of the administrative, police and other departments to ensure the necessary civic arrangements for the coming festive days.

Mahajan asked the Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness at all the markets of the city, availability of adequate clean workers, removal of garbage for all areas, and appropriate lighting system. The officials have been instructed to ensure repair of roads, and working fountains at crossroads and circles. Instructions have been made to make necessary arrangements for lighting and decoration on major gateways and buildings of the city.

Burn Unit, along with eye and plastic surgery department of Sawai Man Singh Hospital has been asked to remain alert at all times. Jaipur tehsildar, Suresh Sharma, has been appointed to ensure immediate treatment of patients coming to Burn unit. First and second chief medical and health officers have been asked for availability of ambulance with tools, medicines, and appropriate staff in the entire district.

In addition to this, Mahajan said that there will be zero tolerance against any kind of adulteration in food, specially in sweets. District Magistrate I and II have been instructed to ensure that the supervising officers and inspectors have checked all sweets, dry fruits and other food items sold in the market.

If adulteration is found, effective action will be taken against the concerned practitioner under the Food Safety and Standards Act-2006 Rule 2011, Mahajan said.

Chief medical and health officers, I and II, have also been directed to monitor the sale of adulterated food items, to inspect the market and to take strict action against adulterants under the Act.

Mahajan also instructed the Power Distribution Corporation to arrange uninterrupted power supply in the city, and to fix loose electricity wires around the city.
