PCC chief Sachin Pilot has accused the Raje government of ‘fooling’ the RSRTC employees by making shallow claims of having formed a committee of ministers to look into their demands ahead of prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit slated on October 6 in Ajmer. Pilot has promised the agitating staff that Congress will ensure their demands are met and will also include the same into the party’s manifesto.

Pilot on Thursday reached the Sindhi Camp Bus Stand in Jaipur and met the roadways employees on strike. His meeting with the employees could be seen has a tactic to earn confidence of the employees as they make for a chunk of 8.5 lakh voters across the state and their support to the Congress can enhance the party’s poll perspective. After reaching the venue, the state party head extended full support to the protesting staff and called Raje government anti-employee, accusing it of showing complete disregard.

He added that no efforts are being made to end the strike because of which 10 lakh commuters who travel everyday in roadways buses across the state have to suffer.

“The transport system has completely collapsed due to the strike going on from last 18 days and apathy of the government towards the demands of the employees reflect that it is not concerned about the employees and the commuters. The government has constituted a ministerial panel to hold talks with the employees, though everyone knows that the government took this decision in wake of PM Modi’s rally. Earlier the government formed several committees and even agreements were signed, but nothing was ever implemented. It is unfortunate that the government has terminated services of JCTSL employees on strike,” said Pilot.
