Girls touch Rajasthan Board of secondary education pinnacle, yet again!

The pass percentage of girls in science stream this year has been 90.33% while 85.08 % boys passed the examination.

Class 12 board examination results of Rajasthan Board of secondary education (RBSE) for science and commerce stream were declared on Wednesday. This year too, the girls outshine boys in both science and commerce stream. 

The pass percentage of girls in science stream this year has been 90.33% while 85.08 % boys passed the examination. The overall result of science this year has been 86.60%. 

In commerce stream too, girls were ahead of the boys. The pass percentage of girls has been 94.66% while 89.23% of boys passed the examination. The overall pass percentage in commerce stream has been 91.09%.

The results were declared by the minister of state for education Vasudev Devnani in presence of the chairman of the board B L Choudhary and secretary Meghna Choudhary. 

This year, in science, 246222 students registered out of which 243516 appeared for the examination. Of these, 172922 boys appeared while rest 70594 were girls. A total of 147122 boys passed while 63770 girls passed in science.

In commerce stream, 42657 registered for this year’s examination and 42116 appeared. Of these, total 27220 boys and 14396 girls appeared. A total of 24735 boys passed while 13627 girls passed the examination. Since last year, the board has stopped declaring the merit as such the board office released the results. The board felicitates the meritorious students in a convocation ceremony. 

On May 24, the convocation ceremony to felicitate the toppers of class 12 and 10 of 2017 examinations will be held in Ajmer in the presence of the minister of state for education Vasudev Devnani and home minister Gulab Chand Kataria. Earlier, since the start of the day, preparations were made at the board office for the declaration of results. 

The results were declared at 6:15 pm and as soon as the results were out, the students and the parents started clicking the roll number on the website of Rajasthan board.
