Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot has termed Raje’s farmer’s loan waiver announcement a gimmick. He also termed the budget which has no clarity on resources of funds which will be flowed to support the schemes.

“Raje’s budget is adverse to the reality and she herself has expressed doubts on completion of the schemes,” said Pilot adding that Rajasthan is drowned in debt in last four years tenure of BJP.

In 2013, when Raje resumed the office, Rajasthan owed 1.21 lakh crores debt which has reached to 2.4 lakh crores. Pilot also called the budget silent on women safety and finding a solution for unemployed youths.

“Also, no relief is at sight with merely waiving off Rs 50000 loan on farmers instead of entire farm debts. The CM has also not mentioned the source of funds for farmers loan waiver which makes the announcement just a show off.

The government has waived off loan until September 30, 2017, which means least farmers to get benefit of this. Also, the farmers who got a loan from cooperative banks to be entitled are only 20 percent,” said Pilot talking to scribes sharing his reaction on the budget.

“The last budget of state BJP government is most disappointing for all the sections of society. There is no roadmap for development and no vision for the State. The Government has done nothing except try to mislead people with the announcements and figures,” tweeted Ashok Gehlot, reacting on the budget. There is no mention of the 2nd phase of Jaipur Metro and Dungarpur-Banswara-Ratlam railway line in the budget. There is no planning as to how the numerous incomplete projects would be completed, which were announced in previous budgets that CM presented in her current tenure, says Gehlot in another tweet.

Taking a jibe at BJP, Leader of Opposition Rameshwar Dudi said that the state is disappointed with the budget. Congress will protest till the demand of entire loan is not met.
