Foreign journalists, writers zip around in PoW

For this, 30 journalists and bloggers from countries such as USA, Brazil, Spain, England, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Sweden and Canada are touring the state on the invitation of Rajasthan government.

In line with the overall marketing efforts to present Rajasthan as a must-visit tourist destination for international tourists, the Department of Tourism facilitated foreign journalists, bloggers, writers and well-known personalities to experience tourism in Rajasthan. 

For this, 30 journalists and bloggers from countries such as USA, Brazil, Spain, England, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Sweden and Canada are touring the state on the invitation of Rajasthan government.

While 15 of the 30 members are on a journey across Rajasthan on the globally popular Palace on Wheels luxury train, the other members are experiencing the incredible sights and sounds of places in and around Jaipur including a unforgettable view of Pink City from the sky in a hot air balloon.

Dr Subodh Agarwal (IAS), Principal Secretary of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, who met the foreign visitors said, “We have been focusing on presenting Rajasthan to the world and build on the inherent strengths of Rajasthan Tourism - stunning landscapes, unmatched heritage and distinctive culture..”

Recently, on the sidelines of Jaipur Literature Festival, Rajasthan Tourism organised curated experience for visiting writers, novelists and musicians such as Anthony Horowitz (novelist and Hollywood scriptwriter), David Gray (English singer-songwriter) among others to places such as Ranthambore, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.

As a result of consistent tourism focused initiatives, Rajasthan has won over 40 prestigious tourism awards in the last four years including the coveted National Tourism Award recently by the President of India for overall development of tourism in the state.
