Five held for stabbing youth to death in Kota

Sorting out a murder case within 12 hours, Kota Makbara station police on Sunday arrested five youths for allegedly stabbing a 24 years old youth to death near Chand Band under in Makbara police station area late on Saturday night. There was a money related dispute between the deceased and one of the five youths, who along with his four other friends last night attacked the youth with knife.

“The victim identified as Sourabh Joshi alias Baccha, a resident of Ghantaghar, was last night at around 10 pm attacked with knives by some youths near Chand Band, said SP Kota city, Deepak Bhargav. The miscreants fled away from the spot after the crime while the injured youth was rushed to Maharao Bhim Singh hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, he added.

On the report by deceased’s cousin, police lodged a case under section 302 of IPC and initiated the investigation into the matter. The deceased, before succumbing to injuries had narrated names of some youths who had attacked him.

During the investigation, names of five suspects surfaced and following the verification, police arrested Faiz Khan alias Illu, Nizamuddin alias Nijju, Sahil Mansuri, Saddam and Yunus, all residents of Makbara area all between the age group of 25-28 years. Sourabh Joshi was a habitual criminal and had a dispute over money with one of the five accused Illu alias Faiz Khan, the SP said adding when the deceased was out last night, Faiz Khan along with four of his other friends, attacked Joshi with knives and fled away.
