Farmers and govt staff flock to thank Vasundhara Raje

The Chief Minister’s residence at Civil Lines saw an unprecedented rush on Wednesday as representatives of farmers, employees and other sections of the society arrived to express their gratitude for the budget announcements. 

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje assured them that her government is committed towards the welfare of all citizens. 

"It is with the cooperation of all of you that Rajasthan today is a leading state in several sectors and I feel that we will continue to lead the state towards progress in the future," said chief minister Raje, while accepting the wishes of citizen representatives, who were pleased with the budget announcements. 

Among them were farmers from various parts of the state.They were delighted because in addition to loan waiver, the budget also had provisions for their welfare. Also, among the visitors were a large number of representatives of government employee associations and college students.The budget has paved the way for welfare of the employees and opened numerous opportunities for the aspiring youth in the government sector.

The Chief Minister reverted the visitors’ gratitude by thanking them."We legislators and employees are two parts of the government body.Your support has helped us in implementating development schemes and the journey to progress will continue with your dedicated support," she said to the employees’ representatives. 

Rajasthan has been ahead of several states in implementing the Seventh Pay Commission’s recommendations.However, the step has caused a direct financial burden of Rs 10,000 crore on the state and another Rs 6,000 crore in the form of arrears. However, chief minister Raje upheld her government's decision for implementation of the pay commission’s suggestions as a step towards welfare of the state employees. 

Several local MLAs also arrived at the CM’s residence with people from their localities who wanted to thank her.
