In a shocking revelation, it has come to light that in the list of Jaipur voters, one person’s name is appearing at two, three or even six places. Apart from this, thousands of voters in Rajasthan have more than one voter card.

When the Jaipur Election Department investigated 10 lakh voters in 19 Assembly constituencies of the district, it was found that there are 1,12,000 fake voters.

The data showed that most of the fake voters are from Sanganer, Vidhyadhar Nagar and Kishanpole Assembly constituencies. The details were revealed by auto scanning being done by the Election Commission software.

The records were found to be fake on the parameters of death of the voter, shifted from the area and multiple entry along with migration and now these names are being removed from the list.

The Congress has also lodged complaint, with the election commission, regarding presence of same name two or three times in the voter list.

District Election Officer Siddharth Mahajan said that Demographic Similar Entry (DCE) survey is being done by the Election Department. It aims to mark the name of the voter in the right place by removing the same names available at various places  in the voter list.

The district administration, which is responsible for handling this voter list, has accepted their mistakes in this regard.

On the other hand, Congress worker Amin Kagzi said that if the same person is casting vote thrice, then it is a fraud. One person can only have a single identity card and no one should have more than one voter card. The BJP is now looking at the future by attaining victory through fake voters, he alleged.

The district administration is matching the pictures of all the voters from the photos present in the Election Commission software.

In addition to the BLO, Subdivision Officer and Additional District Collector level officers are also reaching the spot for random check of list. At the same time, during the survey, BLOs are also checking the availability of voters above 80 years of age, in various constituencies of Jaipur.
