Dungargarh MLA’s son Jeevraj Nai dies in road accident

Fifty-year-old son of BJP legislator died in an accident on Sunday night. The deceased, identified as Jeevraj Nai, was the son of Sri Dungargarh MLA Krishan Ram Nai. Being the chairman of Sri Dungargarh municipality, he was active in local politics of the town. “Late in the night around 11.30 pm, Jeevraj was headed to his home at Sri Dungargarh in Bikaner district and was crossing the Sikhwal vatika area when his car collided with an unidentified vehicle.

The driver of Jeevraj’s car lost control over the vehicle and as the car was being driven at a good sped, it overturned” officials said.

As the accident occurred, Jeevraj sustained injuries on his head. “The news about the accident spread like wildfire as locals identified the man after which police officials and locals politicians rushed to the spot and took the injured to a local hospital. It was learnt that the man was thrown out of the car due to the force of accident. He was referred to Bikaner for further treatment where the man died while undergoing treatment,” police officials said.

Meanwhile, a post mortem of the deceased was conducted and the body was handed to the family members. “An investigation to identify the car that was involved in the accident has been initiated,” police said.
