Advancing on a strict deadline, the Dravyavati riverfront project is still faced with several legal challenges and Jaipur Development Authority has come up with an action plan to deal the same. The details of the action plan were approved at a review meeting of the project held under the chairmanship of Jaipur development commissioner on Friday. The authorities are thus leaving no scope left behind to have it completed in the stipulated time. The progress of the project is thus reviewed every month and the meeting on Friday was also in the sequence. However, as the deadline closes in the review meetings are expected to be held every week.

“The development commissioner has instructed the contractor firm to increase manpower and equipment to ensure timely completion of the project, instructions have also been made to hold weekly review meetings to monitor the progress,” said a JDA officer.

At the meeting, it was informed that all the five sewerage treatment plants are now in testing phase and the work of check dams and pipe culverts is also on fast track progress. The work on the pipe culverts is expected to be completed over the next one month. However, it has been the legal cases that remain a concern for the authorities and thus they have worked out of action plan for the purpose.
