These tags shall wore away in time as trees grow, however, those to have ventured shall remember these and have an added association with the riverfront project. This world environment day on June 5, the citizens shall also get a glimpse of the development to have taken along the project from the venue of ‘Beautification Park’ at Shipra Path Mansarovar.
The 47-kilometer project is an ambitious attempt to revive the seasonal river Dravyavati in a more developed format. The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has assigned the task for a private development firm. The project while saving the water body also has plantation as a major component. A total of 17,000 trees are planned to be planted along the project trajectory, while three theme-based gardens shall also hold a variety of other flowering plants.
Development work at the park in Mansarovar is almost complete.
According to officials, more such events shall be held along the riverfront banks over the coming years to encourage people towards the environment. The project itself has come a long way in protecting the seasonal river that had went almost extinct due to rampant encroachments.
