Officials of Varanasi civic body visited Jaipur to seek info about the technology of the STP
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s dream project “Dravyavati River Rejuvenation” can also show the way to Clean Ganga Project. The officer associated with the Clean Ganga Project is greatly influenced by the Dravyavati River Rejuvenation Project in Jaipur. Few days before, the team of officials of Varanasi Municipal Corporation visited Jaipur and inspected the Dravyavati River project and sought information about the construction and technology of the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP). Notably, Prime minister Narendra Modi represents Varanasi in Lok sabha.Under the Dravyavati River Project, five STPs are being constructed every 9 kilometers distance.
From the STP, the sewerage water of the colonies surrounding the river will be treated and flown into the river. The modern technology will be used to treat the sewerage water in the Dravyavati River Project. TATA Company, which works for the Project, has decided to design the STPs after studying the sewerage water treatment project and river project of different countries. The Dravyavati River Project is in discussion all over the country. This is the reason why the team of officials of Varanasi Municipal Corporation came to Jaipur a few days ago. “Under the Clean Ganga Project, Varanasi municipal corporation is planning to build STP for city’s sewerage water. Officials of Varanasi had come to study the STP of the Dravyavati River. So that they can use our technology in Varanasi.” Naresh Sharma, Tata Company’s Head (Marketing and Communication) told DNA. He informed that in addition to Varanasi, officials of Punjab, Maharashtra, and Telangana have also visited our project. Apart from this, teams of different countries have also studied this project.
“The Dravyavati Project is a unique project in itself. Before we started the work of the project, we studied the river project of different countries and learned about the technique there,” said Sharma.
Progress
Significantly, the Dravyavati River is about 48 kilometers long. Under the project, Tata Company has made STP every 9 kilometers away. At every 9 kilometers, the water will be lifted to the STP by down stream of the river, where water will be flown in the river after being treated.
The Dravyavati River Project is in discussion all over the country. This is the reason why the team of officials of Varanasi Municipal Corporation came to Jaipur a few days ago.
