Tenders worth lakhs of rupees invited, Vastu correction work being done on war footing
Jaipur mayor Ashok Lahoti feels that there is Vastu Dosh in Jaipur Municipal Corporation headquarters building which is why public’s ‘kripa’ (blessings) is not showered upon the civic body. Now, the Vastu Dosh is being corrected and a yantra have been put outside mayor’s chamber for absorbing negative energy and generation of positive energy. Besides, lakhs of rupees are also being spent on other changes for making the building Vastu Dosh free.
Notably, reports regarding Vastu Dosha in JMC building have been regular and even Vastu experts have been telling that the building has the Vastu related problems. This could be possible as JMC has remained in controversy since the construction of the building. JMC officials have been accused of corruption and many were trapped by agencies. Besides, JMC has remained in losses which dented civic body’s image among the public. The second mayor Nirmala Verma could not complete her tenure and died. The then next mayor Sheel Dhabai lost her husband. Apart from this, the former mayor Nirmal Nahata could not complete his term and had to step down.
According to sources, mayor took a decision to correct the Vastu Dosh. Famous Vastu expert SK Mehta was called by Lahoti and Mehta suggested some changes after inspecting the building.
THE CHANGES ON THE PREMISES
- The level of road outside South-East side entrance gate is being raised by one and a half feet. Costly tiles, mesh and poles outside the gate have been removed.
- The JMC headquarters canteen has been shifted from West to near the South East side gate. Chambers for committee chambers have been made on old canteen site.
- Entrance gate for mayor and other VIPs is being made on the North side.
- Employees union office and permanent Aadhaar centre would be shifted in the basement.
- Visitors would be allowed entry from South East gate of the premises
- Changes in JMC commissioner chamber is also being made
PAST INSTANCES
- This is not the first time that Vastu Dosh is being corrected at JMC headquarters. The entry gate was changed during former mayor Ashok Parnami’s tenure and a Ganesha idol was established there.
- Former JMC CEO Manjeet Singh had also consulted Vastu expert SK Mehta during former mayor Nirmala Verma’s tenure. At that time Mehta had told that JMC has been facing problems due to Vastu Dosh in the building. It was then advised that the building was constructed in the wrong direction. Mehta had then given Vastu tips to Singh negate the ill-influences.
