Senior Congress Rajput leader and AICC General Secretary Digvijaya Singh has launched an offensive on the Rajasthan government over slain gangster Anandpal issue.

In a series of five successive tweets that started from as early as 6.40 am on Thursday, Singh called upon Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje order a CBI enquiry into the Anandpal encounter.

Addressing Raje he tweeted that it is the Rajput community that has helped to make you chief minister twice. The senior Congressman urged the Home Minister Rajnath Singh to “follow his kshatriya dharma” and use his veto powers over the Rajasthan CM. He accused the Rajasthan government of adopting an adamant stand on the Anandpal issue and called upon the Rajput ministers in the cabinet to resign from their posts.

Singh in his first early morning tweet wrote that he opposed the atrocities being meted out to the Rajput community and went on to write “If there were criminal cases pending against Anandpal, the BJP government cannot deny him his right to appear before court. This right was given to terrorist Kasab too.”

Reacting on similar lines Rajput Congress leader and state spokesperson reached the SMS Hospital to meet the injured. He accused the government of ordering firing on the assembly, thereby resulting in the death of one Lalchand Sharma who was passing by.

He accused the BJP leaders of inciting the agitators.  He warned the government that the Congress would not stay silent if the rights of the people were suppressed by force.
