Right after Congress party’s farmer rally in Jaipur, former BJP state chief and former minister Dr Arun Chaturvedi claimed that the Congress rally was a flop show as it failed to address the issue for which the rally had been called.

Speaking to the press, the former minister said that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the farmers since it has been seventeen days since the government was formed yet the loans have not been waived off and only committees have been formed, which have not been able to decide as to where will the amount for loan waiver come from and how will the waiver come into effect.

Speaking about the Urea crisis, Chaturvedi said, “Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the farmers as even after adequate urea being provided by the Centre, the state’s farmers are not getting Urea. Rahul Gandhi should also apologize for the death of a farmer which was caused due to electricity being provided at night for irrigation purposes.”

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chaturvedi said, “The chief minister is repeating all those works that have already been done by our government. Gehlot had said in his last tenure that the electricity prices will not be increased, and yet the prices were raised five times. It appears that the CM wants to put the bundle of farm loan waiver on the Central government. Moreover, Rahul Gandhi should have spoken about the ten percent reservation to the economically weak section.”
