Constable exam fraud: SOG nabs 5 more

Following action in the constable recruitment case, the Special Operations Group (SOG) nabbed five more men on Friday including the kingpin of the gang involved in the thumb print clone case. Notably, the kingpin has been arrested with his brother-in-law who was also actively involved with the gang. 

Since the SOG busted the gang, its members were being searched by the sleuths to gather information about other candidates that had been contacted by the gang. 

“On Friday, the SOG arrested Jitendra Singh alias Jitu (31) and Shishupal (28). Jitu is Shishupal’s brother-in-law. A team was sent under direction of IG Dinesh MN which arrested the duo from Shishupal’s rented house in Mouji Colony of Malviya Nagar area. The duo hail from Bharatpur,” said Umesh Mishra, ADG - SOG and ATS.

Meanwhile,  the SOG would be arresting several candidates also that were to appear for the exam. “It has come to our knowledge that there have been several candidates who contacted the gang and with their aid, cheated in the exam. The SOG is in the process of identifying these men and some have been identified also. They would be arrested and teams are already on lookout for these men,” highly placed source in the SOG informed. Moreover, the SOG nabbed three more men on Friday in connection with case number 04/2018 related to cheating being conducted from Saraswati Infotech in Malviya Nagar area. 

“The owner of Saraswati Infotech Mukhtyar has been arrested along with Sandeep Kumar (28) and Sajjan Singh (26) - all natives of Haryana. 

The SOG have taken these men on remand and they are being interrogated. So far twenty one men have been arrested who are being interrogated” said Dinesh MN, IG - SOG.
